DISCOVERING & SHARING
Staying near the beaches of the Atlantic Coast? You would like to discover other attractions of the Medoc Peninsula?
Let us tell you our story, and immerse you in the intimacy of our Medoc Estate in Jau-Dignac-et-Loirac, close to the “Phare de Richard” Lighthouse.
“Bordeaux” and its Medoc vineyards. Here are words that awaken the imagination of all wine lovers. The Bordeaux vineyards are perfect for growing grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and white grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.
The specificity of Bordeaux wines lies in the art of blending grape varieties. Like an artist, the winemaker with mix the different grape varieties that he cultivates according to his terroir, in the proportions he considers the best to achieve perfect harmony. The Medoc vineyards are located on the Left Bank of the Gironde Estuary. Here, the soils are made of gravels, pebbles and sand, combining a maximum filter performance with the power of reflection of the heat, which helps the grapes in ripening.
The words “wine” and “conviviality” are deeply linked. For many reasons. You may remember exactly some of the wines shared on a particular occasion, because there is a very close connection between the wine, the place, the time and the people with whom you enjoy it.
Wine is a “social and special drink” that makes people talk, because it fascinates and is synonymous with heritage, history, passion.
But wine is also and primarily associated with another pleasure of palate: gastronomy. It is difficult to imagine a gourmet cuisine, without nice and pleasant wines. And the best wine is the one that will be shared. Michelin-starred chef Paul Bocuse liked to point out that “the most prestigious bottles start to exist when they are opened and shared with friends”.
Your wine and oenology discovery can continue in a friendly atmosphere, in one of our partner restaurant, where the tasty cuisine perfectly pairs with the best wines served, and especially the wines of Château Poitevin.
“A wine, like an emotion, is meant to be shared.”
